Informationen about the village of Rousospiti, Rethymnon and the
region

The houses are
situated outside Rousospiti in a quiet area and with
stunned sea-view. In the village itself is a minimarket,
akiosk, an oil-mill and a school, there are no other
facilities. The town of rethymnon is in a discance of only
6 km, the airports, eather Chania or Heraklion are in
distance of about 80 km.
The area
oRousospiti invites you to go for a walk and discover the
old stonehouses, olive- and wine-grooves. You may visit
the tavern for a drink, before returning home after your
walk. |

Close to
Rethymnon you find the monastery of Agia Irini which is
open to visitor all over the year. It´s one of the less
womens monastery of crete |

In direction to
Misira is a mall wooded gorge, named Miloi (water mills).
Inside the gorge is an abandoned village and also a chapel,
you can see the old Cretan architecture of amanzing old
houses. In ancient times the inhabitants were the most
important flour-producers for Rethymnon. At April and May,
there are also many wild-flowers. A small cafe is situated
in the middle of the gorge, where you can relax. |

Thursday, Saturday and Monday is there a market with traditoinal products
from the famers around.
Also you
will found a lot of shops and taverns, cafe-bars and
other things for your holidays.

If you visit
the south-side of our iland so will found you the best
beach in Plakias and also the palm-beach of Preveli with a
monastery. |
